Write a story in about eight words using the following hints:

[ A king, proud of his power – tells he can control everything on earth – takes his courtiers to the sea shore – orders the waves to move back – the waves lash at the feet of the king – the king moves back in fear ]

Answer:

False Pride

Once upon a time there was a king he was very proud of his power. He told his courtiers that he could control everything on the earth. They did not believe him. The king was determined to prove his power. He took his courtiers to the sea shore. The waves were rolling one after another along the sea shore. The waves lashed at the feet of the king. The king then ordered the waves to move back but the violent waves paid no head to his command. The king felt afraid of the huge waves. He thought he might get drowned. Therefore he moved back quickly. He realised that he should not be proud of his power because nature is more powerful.

Moral : Pride has a fall

5. Paragraph : My School

Our school is our second home. The name of our school is Gurabari M.B.A.C High School. it is situated at chopa, Hooghly.  This school is little far from our residence. It is housed in a fine three storied building. The classrooms are large and have plenty of light and air. The walls are not prison walls as Rabindranath found them. They are decorated with high pictures of great men. The school compound is a very large one. There is a big hall on the ground floor. The flower garden adds to the beauty of the school. The science laboratory is well equipped and the library too is a beautiful retreat. The teachers are very good and we get utmost help from them. Our headmaster is upright and strict. We also love and respect him. An ideal school should be something like our school. We love our school very much.
