1 . My Journey from Home to School :-
 As usual after having breakfast I left home for school. The distance between my home to school is fifteen minutes . As I rode my cycle I saw a lorry rush by, strewing garbage all over. While turning a scooterist had suddenly come to a halt before me. For a moment, I felt as if my heart stopped beating. Halfway through to my school I saw a car emit white, thick smoke engulfing the entire area. I kept my nose closed for a while to avoid the polluted air. As soon as I uncovered my nose, a bus was behind me honking ear-shatteringly. As I neared my destination, I saw workers from the electricity board cutting branches of a tree because that were obstructing the current wires. I entered the school after the assembly. Recollecting my journey to school, I wondered about the lesson for the day.
2 . Childhood of Rabindranath Tagore :-
India can proud of  her many great sons. Rabindranath Tagore is one of them. He was born at Jorasakho in Kolkata on 7th May 1861.He was the youngest among the twelve siblings. His father was Maharsi Debendranath Tagore and mother was Sarada Devi. He was very young when his mother died. He loved  nature. He loved to look at the pond, the banyan tree, the coconut tree. His early education started at Oriental Seminary school. After learning alphabets, he started scribbling. The atmosphere at home imbibed him to the world of music. The first nursery rhyme that he learnt opened the gateway to the magic of the poetry. The rhyme left the very, very deep impression in his mind. He then realized rhyme is very, very important in writing poetry. He used to read the poetry of Bengal poets in his early age. He wrote his first poem ' Hindu melar Upahar ' at the tender age of eight. The Rhyme was the eye-opener for him.
3 . Visit to a Place of Historical Interest :-
Last summer my father decided to take our family to Puri . We travelled by the Puri Jagannath Express and reached there on the next morning . The first view of the sea delighted us very much . We went on foot to the great temple of Lord Jagannath . The temple is an epic in stone . We looked at the awesome huge temple . We went inside the temple and bowed down our heads to Jagannath Dev , Subhadra and Balaram . The maths of Lord Chaitanya and Sankaracharya revealed to us the glorious past . I felt a tingling sensation of delight . We had sea bath everyday during our stayin Puri . I think that it will linger longer in my loving memory . 
4 . Myself :-
I am Jitendranath Ghosh . I am a student of class " V " . I live at Chopa in the district of hooghly with my parents . I am 10 years old . My father Sunil Ghosh is a farmer and my mother Munmun Ghosh is a house wife . We are very close -knit family . I have a pet dog . I call him Tommy . All members of our family love him very much and take care of him . My favourite game is cricket . I have many friends . But my best friend is Amal . We love each other and play together . My ambition is to be a doctor.
5 . My Experience of Visiting a Zoo / My Visit to the Zoo :-
I visited the Zoo at Alipur on 23rd April this year with my parents . We reached the Zoo by 10 am.first we saw the Zebras , varieties of monkeys and different types  of deer . Then we visited the tigers and lions which were found roaring  that rent through the air . We one by one Visited the bears , camels , horses , rabbits , elephants and girrafes . At sunset , we left the Zoo . It was really an unforgottable experience to me . I think that it will linger longer in my loving memory .
6 . Taj Mahal :-
The Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world . The famous building of the world was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal . It is situated at Agra in Delhi beside the river Yamuna . A famous architect , Ustad Isha , designed this monument . It took 22 years and 22,000 workers to complete this wonderful building . The Taj Mahal was built entirely out of white marble . There are four minarets on the four corners with long stretch of water in front . Every ear people from far-off lands come to India to see the Taj .
7 . My Experience of Watching a Dance Performance :-
I saw a dance performance at Rabindra Bhawan . Dona Gangully performed there Odissi dance . She started her performance with greetings to Lord Jagannath . She looked very beautiful that day . When I was watching the performance I felt dance is more than just a sport , it's a passion . I felt a tingling sensation of delight . I think that , it will linger longer in my loving memory .
8 . The Clever Fox and A Foolish Goat :- [ {story} Page - 74 ,       Activity - 13 ] 
Once , a fox was moving around in a village . Suddenly , he fell into a well . He tried to come out of it but failed . After sometime , there came a goat . Then the fox invited the goat to drink water from the well . The foolish goat jumped in . Just then , climbing on its back , the fox came out of the well . The helpless goat remained in the well forever .

1 . My Favourite Season :-
Winter is my favourite season. It is the season of snow and cold. It starts from December and continuous up to next February . A cold wind comes from the north . The morning sun remains hidden in the heavy fog . People are to put on woolen dressed . The poors are the worst sufferers . Various fruits and flowers are found in this season . It is the time for fairs , festivals and trips . Winter is free from rain and flood . For all these reasons winter is my favourite season . [ 86 words ]
2 . Usefulness of  Trees :-
Trees are our best friends . They give us flowers , fruits , furniture , fuel and forests . forests shelter birds and beasts . Trees gift beauty to nature . Trees produce paper , rubber , fibres , honey , medicine , gum and wax . They give out oxygen to enable us to live on the earth . Big trees prevent soil erosion . They bring rain but prevent floods . Tree supply fresh air to the people . The loss of trees will lead to less rain and fall of harvest . To save mankind , forests should be preserved . We must keep the earth greener and safer for the future .

3 . My Daily Routine :-

 I am a little boy / girl . Still I follow a strict routine . I wake up at 6 am . After the usual morning walk I take my breakfast at 7 am . Then I read for three hours . Then I take my bath , have my lunch , go to school and study there from 11 am to 4 pm . I return home at 4.30 pm .After a little tiffin , I go to the playground and play different games there with my friends . At 6 pm I return home and take rest for some time . I prepare my homework from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm . Then I watch T.V with my parents for half an hour  . We have our dinner at 9.00 pm . Then I go to bed .
4 . My Favourite Player / Famous Sportsman :-
Like thousand of Indians , the game I like most is no doubt cricket . My favourite player is Mahendra Singh Dhoni . He is the heart of Indian cricket . He was born on 7th July , 1981 in Ranchi , Jharkhand . He was the captain of India .The Indian cricket team won the 2011 Cricket World Cup under his captainship . He is an attacking right-handed middle order batsman and wicket keeper . He is regarded to be one of the best wicket keepers in the world cricket . His test cricket and One Day International records are the best among all Indian Captains to date . He took over the ODI  captaincy from Rahul Dravid in 2007 . He has been the recipient of many awards . He won ' Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna ' award in 2007 and ' Padma Shri ' award in 2009 . He had played his 300th ODI match . In 2016 , a biopic ' M.S Dhoni : The Untold Story ' was made on him .
5 . Derozio :-
The full name of Derozio was Henry Louis Vivian Derozio . He was born on 18th April , 1809 . Francis Derozio was his father and Sophie Johnson was his mother . He was born at Entally in Kolkata . His schooling was from Dravid Drummond's  " Dhurrmatallah Academy " . After schooling he joined in Hindu College as a teacher of English Literature and History . He was also the assistant editor of ' The Indian Gazette ' , editor of  ' The Calcutta Gazette ' , ' The East Indian ' and ' The Bengal Annual ' etc. He wrote many beautiful poems like - ' To India , My native Land ' , ' The Harp of India ' , ' The Fakir of Jungheera ' etc. This Nobel man unfortunately passed away on 26th December , 1831 . May his soul rest in peace . We are proud of him .
6 . My Experience of Seeing at the Night Sky :-
I love the night sky . Last night I went to the terrace . It was about 10.30 pm. I looked at sky from there . The sky was clear , not a cloud to be found anywhere . The sky was a mixture of dark midnight blues and purple . It looked limitless . The stars just decorated the sky . The stars were sparkling and gorgeous . The moon accented the night sky perfectly . The sky looked amazing . The vastness seemed so mysterious . I will watch the night sky regularly to know more about stars . Seeing the night sky is an amusing matter .
